Hi Positive Ones,
Today, I am excited to let you in on a little secret of mine. Many of you are curious about my mixing and matching, designing, etc. You see all these fancy posters, presentations, videos, logos, social media posts, and other graphic designs I’m doing for my Digital Media course. Did you think I designed those by myself? Well, Positive Ones, think again!
Design plays a big role for me and due to the fact that I am not skilled at the art, I rely heavily on digital tools for assistance. It’s through my website that we communicate; hence, its appearance is of utmost importance to me. Since I would not sit before you without being properly dressed, I must ensure that my site has a reasonable aesthetic looks and appearance.
I am grateful for this free-to use online graphic design tool that was launched in 2013. It’s “an online design and visual communication platform with a mission to empower everyone in the world to design anything and publish anywhere.” This platform is available in over 100 languages in 190 countries.
What am I talking about? Canva! I chose Canva because it’s empowering; when I use it for my works, it literally makes me feel like a pro! Canva’s is easy to use, possess a wide catalogue of templates, plus, the company and I share similar values.
Canva’s values resonate with me as a user and a firm believer in making the world a better place. Look at what the folks of Canva outlined as their values:
- Be a force for good
- Be a good human
- Empower others
- Make complex things simple
- Pursue excellence
- Set crazy big goals
